Bill 29, the Fairness and Safety in Sport Act, took effect Sept 1.
The law excludes athletes assigned male at birth from women's sports teams.
Decision only affects national/international events, not local programs.
Calgary recently hosted Skate Canada Challenge and national championships.
Skate Canada will monitor legislation and reassess hosting opportunities.
