Belarus Releases 123 Prisoners in Exchange for U.S. Sanctions Lift

Ales Bialiatski, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, was released from a Belarusian prison after serving over 4 years of a 10-year sentence.
The prison lacked adequate medical care, with tooth extraction being the only dental treatment option.
Belarus released 123 prisoners, including Bialiatski, in exchange for U.S. lifting sanctions on its potash sector.
