DNC Launches Modern Technology Refresh to Strengthen Voter and Volunteer Organization
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is modernizing its technology to better organize voters and volunteers for future elections, marking its first major infrastructure overhaul in nearly 20 years. The initiative includes new platforms for hosting political events and a data-driven tool called Matchbook, developed by Indigo, which helps turn raw data into strategic voter and volunteer insights. This comes after the DNC faced challenges including a disappointing 2024 election cycle, low fundraising, and declining voter engagement. The new technology aims to address these issues through improved voter communication, data collection, and event management, with pilot programs starting in New Jersey and Virginia ahead of November elections. DNC Chair Ken Martin emphasized the goal of "organizing everywhere to win anywhere."
