Ethics Violations in Norway's Olympic Ski Team

Two Olympic gold medalists Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang, along with two coaches and a service staff member, were charged with ethics violations for allegedly altering ski suits to improve performance during the March World Championships in Norway. The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) found evidence including video footage showing suits modified with reinforced thread to increase aerodynamic efficiency. The team, which hosted the event, faced protests from Austria, Slovenia, and Poland. Lindvik and Forfang, both disqualified from the individual large hill event, are expected to defend their Olympic titles at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Games. FIS conducted 38 witness interviews and reviewed 88 pieces of evidence, with no other individuals charged. The case is set for a verdict within 30 days of the hearing process.
