Germany's economy decreased by 0.3% from April to June 2025 The decline followed 0.3% growth in the first quarter of 2025 The downturn was caused by a reversal of export front-loading and U.S. tariffs Manufacturing and construction output decreased significantly in June Household spending was revised downward Exports of goods fell by 0.6% in June Service exports increased by 1.4% in June Companies pledged 631 billion euros in investments over three years The government launched a 500 billion-euro fund for infrastructure and digitization Economist Carsten Brzeski predicts a possible economic upturn in Germany next year.
