Denmark and Greenland apologized for forcing contraceptive devices on Inuit women between the 1960s and 1970s Nearly 150 Inuit women sued Denmark last year, claiming the practice violated their human rights Danish authorities said up to 4,500 women and girls received coil implants, half of Greenland's fertile population at the time.
