NASA and ESA Monitor Asteroid 2025 TF

Asteroid 2025 TF passed over Antarctica on October 1, 2025, at 00:47:26 UTC.
It came within 428 km of Earth, the second-closest recorded approach after 2020 VT4.
The asteroid was 1-3 meters in size.
Discovered by Arizona's Catalina Sky Survey after its flyby.
ESA observed it using Las Cumbres Observatory telescope.
NASA said it would create a fireball, no risk to ISS.
Scientists confirmed no threat to Earth.
The encounter tested near-Earth object monitoring systems.
