New Study Confirms Ancient Pits Near Stonehenge
Researchers used geophysical surveys, boreholes, sediment cores, luminescence dating, and sedimentary DNA analysis.
Pits are 10m across, 5m deep, forming 20 pits with 16 analyzed and animal remains.
Professor Vincent Gaffney calls it one of the largest prehistoric structures in Britain.
Luminescence dating shows construction time, spans changing cultures, links to Larkhill monument.
