Severance star Adam Scott recalls painful rejection from Six Feet Under casting

Adam Scott nearly quit acting after losing the Six Feet Under role to Michael C. Hall. The actor, known for Parks and Recreation, reflected on the rejection during a podcast with Amy Poehler. He tested for the part but lost it to Hall, who was 'perfect' for the role. Scott called the rejection 'painful' because Six Feet Under was the dominant show of the early 2000s, eclipsing all others. Despite not getting the lead role, he made a guest appearance in the show's second season. Hall later earned an Emmy nomination for his role in the series. Scott now stars in Severance on Apple TV+.
