Topshop returns to physical stores after Asos acquisition with nostalgic collections
Topshop, the iconic British high street fashion brand, has relaunched its physical stores following its acquisition by Asos in 2021. The brand's return to brick-and-mortar stores is marked by a runway show at Trafalger Square featuring former models Cara Delevigne and Adwoa Aboah. Topshop has reintroduced its classic joni jeans, a staple from the 2000s, as part of its new collection. The relaunch includes nostalgic items like faux fur, sequins, animal print, leather, and tweed, targeting millennials and Gen Z consumers who previously saw the brand as a symbol of British-cool. The brand's comeback follows Asos selling a majority stake to Danish fashion group Heartland in September 2024, with a focus on affordable, high-quality fashion pieces available online and in stores.
