Great Barrier Reef Coral Colony Found Amid Global Bleaching

Sophie Kalkowski-Pope and her mother found a coral colony on the Great Barrier Reef.
The colony is 111 meters long and covers 3,973 square meters.
They created a 3D model using video and measuring equipment.
The discovery is part of the Great Reef Census with over 100 vessels and thousands of scientists.
The site was withheld due to ongoing global bleaching affecting 80% of reefs.
