Hiring Slows as Job Openings Drop

U.S. job openings at 6.5M in December, lowest in over five years. People quitting jobs stable at 3.2M, no change in confidence. Employers added 28K jobs/month since March, vs 400K during 2021-2023 boom. Economists uncertain if hiring will increase or growth will slow due to weak labor market or tech advancements
