Second Century Commission launches in Washington on May 1, 2026, marking 100th anniversary of U.S.-Canada diplomatic relations.
Co-chairs: former Canadian cabinet minister Lisa Raitt and former U.S. congresswoman Jane Harman.
Initiative aims to strengthen bilateral coordination amid shifting trade and geopolitical dynamics in North America.
Commission led by McGill University, Johns Hopkins University, and Centre for International Governance Innovation.
Meetings will convene in Ottawa, Baltimore, Montreal, and Washington over 18 months.
Final report scheduled for release by late 2027 after Washington launch on May 1, 2026.
